Soooo I got another CND Shimmer with one of my Bloom vouchers :D I wanted to have a good variety of them, so I got Emerald Shimmer this time. I've had Essie Navigate Her for a few weeks now and I figured they would make a pretty combo, so here is the result!
I tried so, so hard to like Navigate Her on it's own, but I just couldn't stop loathing it. It looks gorgeous in everyone else's swatches, but I just couldn't love it against my skin tone. Emerald Shimmer improved it substantially, but not enough to prevent it from being thrown in the blog sale.
I think it's SO cute on you, but it's definitely a departure from some of the colors that you love. Sometimes, no matter how hard you try to like it, it just doesn't work. Or you know that it'll never be one of those polishes that you spontaneously reach for. Really flattering on you, Chelsea, but when you know, you know.
ReplyDeleteEmerald Shimmer makes Navigate Her look INCREDIBLE!!! I think it looks lovely on you!
ReplyDeleteThis is sooo pretty!!! :D
ReplyDeleteI have Navigate on it's way to me via mail along with the peach and the lavender in the collection - I could not find the blue one. I hope my skin tone ends up looking better than yours did with this shade. I cannot wear the mints with all the white in them, so am hoping the yellow that is in this one works on my tone. I love how it looks in the bottle.
ReplyDeleteForgot to add how much I like what CND Emerald shimmer does for this shade...and I do have that CND effect - in fact I think I have all but 2 of the CND effects (I don't have the silver and the gold because they looked like other similar things I had already)...I really think this is one you should keep to play with and not toss it into the blog sale pile. It's a very unique green.
DeleteThis combo is stunning!
