Are you guys ready for another gorgeous products from the Sephora Jasmine collection? This morning I have the Magic Carpet Ride eyeshadow quad to share with you. While the shadows are pretty, the packaging is the true winner here. I don't honestly think that they could have done a better job on the design!
The palette opens up and houses the four eyeshadows as well as a mirror and two small applicators.
Here's a macro of the four eyeshadows. Wonder by Wonder is the shimmery purple on the top left. Carpet is the glittery purple on the top right. Splendid is the shimmery peach/champagne on the bottom left, and Diamond Sky is the bold blue on the bottom right.
The swatches below of the shadows are in the same order as the shadows are in the palette above. I swatched them using the included sponge applicators over primer. Carpet was the only one that was a little problematic since it has glitter, but the others all applied beautifully.
This palette retails for $30 and can be purchased from Sephora. I love how it includes two easily wearable and two bolder shades! Diamond Sky is to die for!

bareMinerals Remix Collection Swatches/Review
Hey guys! Happy Monday! I have some awesome new stuff from bareMinerals to show you all today. All of these products are from their Remix collection for Spring 2013. The eye shadow quads and loose powders come in limited edition "aqua sheen" packaging that is absolutely gorgeous.
The Natural High blush is a beautiful peach/pink shade with a nice subtle amount of shimmer.
The Next Big Thing quad consists of a four warm, beautiful eye shadows.
The Wild Thing quad is a mix of four cool-toned blues and greens.
The Flawless Definition mascara comes in two shades, Black and Aqua Blast. There is also a black Round the Clock waterproof eye liner in this collection not pictured, color is called Midnight.
On the far left here is a heavy swatch of The Natural High blush. Secret Radiance All-Over Face Color is swatched in the center and blended out on the far right. I used my finger for these, so using a fluffy brush would blend it out even further.
How amazing are these shadows? This is one quick swipe over primer using the sponge applicator that comes in the quads. The Wild Thing shadows are the four on the left, clockwise from the top left are Elitist (taupe shimmer), Sensational (sea foam shimmer), Icon (chartreuse sparkle) and Controversy (midnight blue shimmer). The Next Big Thing shadows are on the right, clockwise from the top right are Rising Star (yellow gold shimmer), Smash Hit (coral matte), Ensemble (plum matte), and Hoopla (golden copper). On the far right is the Midnight liner. This stuff rocks. I used it on my waterline and it stayed and stayed and stayed. I haven't found another liner that can stay this long.
I used all four shades in the Wild Thing quad for this look. Sensational is all over the lid, Icon is in the inner lid, Elitist on the center of the lid, and Controversy on the outside corner and as lower liner. They are shown over primer and they applied great. These are a lot more opaque than I expected them to be, especially Sensational and Icon.
I used the Flawless Definition mascara in Black here and the Round the Clock liner in Midnight on my lower waterline. I have a sample size of this mascara that I absolutely love, so I'm thrilled to have a full size version in my collection now. I love how it enhances my lashes but doesn't look fake and unnatural.
And here is the Flawless Definition mascara in Aqua Blast. It's not as colorful as I expected it to be, which is great actually. I was afraid that this would be way out of my comfort zone, but I think I could definitely feel comfortable wearing it with some simple shadow.
Here's a close up of the Secret Radiance All-Over Face Color in it's container. I used this on my face and with a light application, it gives you a really pretty glow.
The Bronzing Mineral Veil is definitely more suited for my skin in summer. It's a very light wash of color for sure, but I do prefer my translucent Mineral Veil for now, until I get a bit of a tan at least.
The bareMinerals Remix Collection is available now on the bareMinerals website. My top picks here are definitely The Wild Thing eye shadow quad, the Flawless Definition mascara in Black, and the Round the Clock eye liner in Midnight. But I'm curious, would you guys wear the Aqua Blast mascara?

Milani Shadow Eyez 12 Hour Pencils
Hi everybody! I have some Milani swatches of a different variety for you this afternoon. These are the Milani Shadow Eyez eye shadow pencils and they are awesome! The full range of colors is swatched below and for this look, I used four of the six. I started out applying Champagne Toast to the inner section of my lid and then blended that as best I could with Brown Deluxe on the outer section. These aren't the easiest to blend together, but if you work quickly it is possible. I used Winter White as a highlight under my eye brow and Aquatic Style as a pop of color on my lower water line.
These are the six shades that the Shadow Eyez pencils are offered in swatched over primer (from left to right): Winter White, Champagne Toast, Brown Deluxe, Green Safari, Aquatic Style, and Royal Purple. I really, really love eye shadow in pencil form. It's so quick and easy to apply and control and these last a really long time over primer. I rubbed my arm really hard with my thumb after swatching these to see if they would smudge and they didn't budge one bit! All of these colors have a metallic finish with the exception of Royal Purple, which actually is kind of matte.
The Milani Shadow Eyez pencils can be purchase on the Milani website or in most drugstores that carry Milani. If you have tried these pencils, what did you think? If you haven't, would you want to?

Maybelline Emerald Smokes Eye Shadow Quad
Hey everyone! Hope you're all enjoying your weekends... I'm sitting at work freezing ;( Buuut I have another eye look for you today! This time I used a Maybelline quad calling Emerald Smokes. I didn't use the all of the shades the way that they are labeled in the quad, but I will be referring to them as Base, Lid (the upper right shade in the compact), Crease, and Liner.
I started out with Urban Decay Primer Potion and once that was applied and dry, I applied the Base shade over my entire lid and up on my browbone. Then, I used the Lid shade on the outer two-thirds of my upper lids.
I blended the Crease shade into the Lid shade on the outer corner of my lids and brought the Base color down into the inner corner of my eye.
I finished up by using the Liner shade as an eyeliner along the top and bottom lash lines. I love the little gold flecks in the dark green Liner, it's so pretty! I completed this look with a coat of Bare Minerals Flawless Definition Volumizing mascara and some Urban Decay Zero eye liner on my upper and lower water lines.

Cover Girl Tropical Fusion Eye Shadow Quad
Good morning everybody! If you've been around The Nail Network for a while, you know that I normally don't post on the weekends, but I have something a little special that I'm trying out today: my very first eye post! I hope you guys like this because I'm really excited to share it with you! :)
I used all four shades in the Cover Girl Tropical Fusion eye shadow quad for this look. I started with Urban Decay Primer Potion and blended the two blue shades, with the turquoise on the inner lid and royal blue on the outer lid. I was really surprised at the color payoff for these shadows; they were pretty good for how cheap they were!
I used the yellow-green shade on the inner corner of my eye and above the two blue shades, though it's hard to tell. I applied the orange with a wet angled brush as liner underneath my eye. I finished this look off with a coat of Maybelline Great Lash mascara. The photo below is focused on my lashes so you can see the sparkle in the blue shadows.
And here's a better shot of the blending... I definitely need to find a new mascara and get something to fill in my brows, but other than that, I'm very happy with how this first look turned out! I hope you enjoyed it and please feel free to give me some feedback in the comments below! :D
