Girly Bits Banana Hammock, Glo Worm, Mother May I?, & Hocus Pocus Review & Swatches

Good morning everyone! I have some more beautiful swatches for you today, this time from the brilliant hands of Pam from Girly Bits! The first color I have to show you is called Banana Hammock (lol!) and it is a great shade of yellow with shimmer. I used three coats here and the formula was awesome.

This is Glo Worm and check out that shimmer! This is one amazingly gorgeous neon lime green polish. Three coats used here as well with a great formula.

Mother May I? is a delicate mixture of blue, pink, purple, and red glitter in a light purple semi-sheer base. I would definitely consider wearing this one over a more opaque base color as I still had slight VNL after three coats. This is such a pretty glitter combo!

Hocus Pocus is something that I think a lot of you will go nuts over, a sheer silver holographic topcoat! I layered one coat of it over Essie Go Overboard to show you how versatile it is; not only will it look great over light colors, but your dark fall shades can be holo-fied too!

Here's another angle... I'm loving this combination!

Girly Bits polishes can be purchased directly from Pam via her online store or from other sellers, such as Llarowe, as well. They retail between $10-$12.50 depending on what polish you are looking at and where you buy. Do you own any Girly Bits? Are you going to purchase any of these?

Girly Bits Promise Me & Stormy Skies

You guys should be well aware by now of how awesome Girly Bits polishes are. Pam truly creates some awesome nail polish! If you are interested in ordering Girly Bits polishes, you can do so on her blog or on Llarowe!

Up first today is Girly Bits Promise Me. Pam's daughter is a singer and she named this polish after a song on her first album. If you buy this polish, you get a free download of the song! How cool is that? Promise Me is a pretty light pink with silver shimmer and larger silver glitter pieces. I need three coats for it to be opaque, but you could probably layer this over another pink too.

Stormy Skies is a grayed out blue with green and gold micro-glitter. I used three coats for opacity here as well. I love blue polishes and this one is beautiful! You should definitely check this out if you're into grays or blues.

Girly Bits Hippity Hop

For those of you who aren't familiar Girly Bits, they are the brainchild of a brilliant woman named Pam with a knack for creating unique and exciting handmade polishes! Pam recently came out with her newest collection, Calendar Girls, and Hippity Hop is the color for April. I decided that the best way to showcase Hippity Hop would be to apply it over a skittle mani of pastel, spring shades. Details of which shades I used are below! If you are interested in ordering Girly Bits polishes, you can do so on her blog or on Llarowe

Below is two coats of Hippity Hop over three coats of Milani Mint Candy on my ring finger and Orly Kiss the Bride on my pinky nail. What's really neat about Hippity Hop is that some of the little hexagon glitter pieces are 3D! It's like having little tiny rhinestones in the mix!

Here I layered Hippity Hop over three coats Essie Nice is Nice and Finger Paints Lemon Sour. I don't really ever wear skittle manis, but I loved this one so much and I cannot wait to recreate it for Easter!

Girly Bits Denim Diva

Have I made it clear to all of you just how much I love the color blue? Here is a gorgeous blue brought to you by the creator of Girly Bits nail polish, Pam. Denim Diva is a beautiful medium blue shimmer polish that I am absolutely in love with. The formula is perfect and I used three thin coats here. There's not much to say other than GO BUY THIS!

Girly Bits Street Magic

I'm not sure if anything I have to say could really do this one justice, so let's just get right to the photos! This is one coat of Girly Bits Street Magic over two coats of Julep Trina, a deep purple shimmer. As you can see by this first photo, Street Magic generally shifts between yellow and green.

Here's a bit more yellow/gold than the first photo shows:

And when the light hits it just right, you get this gorgeous rusty orange/red shade of shimmer to appear! I wore this mani for four days and even on the fourth day, I was still catching myself moving my hands around and staring at the awesome color shifts.

Have I convinced you to go buy some Girly Bits polishes yet?! I hope so! You can use the links below to check out what shades Pam is offering at the moment and to learn how to order.

Girly Bits Sailor's Delight & Purple Potion

Good morning! I have a few more Girly Bits polishes to show you today! First up is Sailor's Delight, a beautiful and squishy orange jelly polish with golden micro-shimmer. I did three coats of polish for the photos, but I think in the future I will layer this over an orange base polish that is more opaque since I could still see VNL at three coats. Regardless, this is a gorgeous shade and it makes me wish it was summer here!

Next is the awesome purple glitter that is Purple Potion. My photo does not do this one justice. It is soooo sparkly in person! Purple Potion has a bunch of different glitter pieces, like blue, pink, copper and holo ones too. You can't see the holo pieces in my photo, but they make this polish incredible.

Pam has an incredible talent for creating unique and exciting nail polishes with formulas that rival some of the larger brands on the market. I can't wait to see what she comes up with in 2012!

Day 9: Snowy winter morning

Hola! I have a very special feature for today's post! Today I used one of the Girly Bits polishes that I got to review called January Morning. I will have a full review of all the Girly Bits polishes I was sent soon, but if you would like more info about the brand and how to order, you can click HERE. This is one coat of January Morning over two coats of Zoya Kristen.

Isn't it amazing? It's just like looking out the window after a fresh, twinkling snow with a beautiful blue sky. I have a feeling that January Morning would look awesome layered over any pastel shade. Here is a macro shot of three coats by itself:

How is everyone holding up with the holiday stress? Have you gotten all your shopping done? Are your cookies all baked? Are you sending some to me?? ;)
