Happy Halloween everyone! I'm not really celebrating this year but you know I can't resist a good reason for some nail art and candy! Halloween used to be my favorite time of the year for nail art since it was the only time I was allowed to be bold and wear black nail polish! :P
I started this look off with two coats of Nicole by OPI Fairy Fairy Quite Contrary, a nice bright orange shade. Once the orange base was dry, I used black polish to stamp a spider web near the cuticle of each nail. I let that dry completely and then applied hole reinforcement stickers over each nail to create the half moon shade with black polish. I topped it all off with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top (my fav topcoat).
I hope you like them! Have a spooky day!

Creepy Blood Splatter Nail Art
Hey everybody, I have some slightly creepy and disturbingly easy nail art for you today! I'm sure some of you remember that I did zombie nails for Halloween last year. Well, they were just a teensy bit labor-intensive so I thought I'd figure out something that would be quick and easy, but would still get attention.
This blood splatter isn't actually splatter at all, it's sponging! I found a wirey sponge with lots of spaced out holes and used it to sponge deep red polish over my OPI Skull & Glossbones base. How much easier does it get? Let me know if you try it out!!

Halloween Skittle-Style Nail Art
I asked on Facebook what kind of nail art people were interested in seeing and the answers revolved mostly around Halloween, particularly a design that is Halloween-y without being gross or scary. I also got a request for skittle nails, so I meshed everything together and came up with this!
The colors used in this design are Zoya Monica, Arizona, and Tracie, as well as a plain black polish. For the pinky nail, I painted on Monica and then sponged the other colors over it. I watermarbled using all four colors on the ring nail. On the middle nail, I painted Arizona and then used a thin brush to create lines of the other colors in an ascending pattern across the nail. The index nail was painted with Tracie and dotted with all of the other colors. I hope this satisfies those nail art requests! ;)

China Glaze Monster's Ball Halloween 2013 Collection Review/Swatches
Boo! Today I have swatches of China Glaze's Halloween 2013 collection: Monster's Ball. This collection is made up of five spooky shades and a glow-in-the-dark topper. Let's get started!
Fang-Tastic is a mix of magenta, green, and blue glitter in a clear base. I layered one coat over a royal blue polish here.
Boo-Gie Down is a glitter topper that has a mix of orange, black, and white glitters in a variety of shapes and sizes. This is two coats over a burnt orange polish, love this combo!
Howl You Doin' is a darker, more opaque version of OPI's Merry Midnight. A gorgeous purple base packed with tons of pink, purple, and blue glitter. This is two coats.
Ghoulish Glow is a mostly sheer polish that can be layered over any other polish to make it glow in the dark. I didn't swatch this one because it was daytime when I was working on this collection and you guys know how glow-in-the-dark stuff works. ;) Trust me though, this is very glow-y!
Bat My Eyes is a gorgeous mixture of gold glitter in a black base. So opaque and so stunning. This is two coats.
Bump in the Night is a textured black polish. If you've been around this blog for more than two minutes, you probably know how much a fan of texture I am NOT, but I can get behind this one for Halloween. In fact, I might even actually wear it for Halloween! This is one single coat.
The Monster's Ball collection should be available for purchase now wherever China Glaze is sold. Do any of these polishes catch your eye? Have you picked any up yet? More importantly, what are you being for Halloween?! I'll probably just buy some candy and eat it with my fiancé with our porch light turned off! ;P

Happy Halloween! Feat. Stamping Plate from KKCenterHK
Happy Halloween everyone! I typically don't celebrate Halloween anymore, but who can resist a chance to do some cute nail art and sit around eating candy? Not me! I got this stamping plate from KKCenterHK during the summer since it had some unique seashell stamps on it, but it just so happens to have cute Halloween designs too.
I used Wet N Wild Black Creme for my black base and for the stamping on my ring nail. The orange is Sephora by OPI Paisley Attention to Me and the white is Konad stamping polish. This plate is nicely etched and stamped very well. You can view this plate and others here. What do you think? Have a happy (and safe) Halloween!

Zombie Nails for Halloween!
Hello everyone! I hope all of you in the hurricane's path are staying safe and dry. My classes have already been cancelled for today and tomorrow, so we shall see what happens. I'm glad I don't have to leave the house though. Today, I have for you some zombie nails inspired by Sarah at Samarium's Swatches. I don't like mine quite as much as her's, but I'm still happy with how they turned out!
I started with a base of Essie Sand Tropez and painted/sponged with some dark purples, reds, and oranges. I covered that in two coats of a sheer pink; I wanted to use more of a nude shade, but I didn't have any. I will say that they do look much better in person rather than in these photos. They don't look quite as pink in person but I couldn't capture it properly.
I applied Esse Matte About You over the sheer pink before I started painting the blood using a dotting tool and striping brush. It took forever but I'm so happy with how it turned out. What do you think?

OPI So So Skullicious Review & Giveaway!!
Good morning and happy Tuesday all! I have some quick swatches of the OPI So So Skullicious mini set for Halloween to show you today. From pinky to index, the colors are: Candlelight, Mourning Glory, A-Rose From the Dead, and Hi, Pumpkin!. Each shade applied well and required two coats, with the exception of Candlelight, which needed three.
The mini set also comes with adorable water slide decals of sugar skulls. The photo below shows some of the designs that are showcased on the back of the package. I was really excited to see that these were water decals too; I think they look so much nicer than regular stickers.
So do you want to hear the best part? I have a So So Skullicious set to giveaway to one lucky reader! The giveaway will end on October 23rd so that I can hopefully get it to the winner before Halloween. Please see the "Terms & Conditions" in the Rafflecopter widget for more information. Good luck!!

Happy Halloween! :)
I hope you all are spending the day stuffing your faces with candy! I'm sure that's what I'll be doing... :D
I have something really special for you today! In my package from Sarah at Samarium's Swatches, I found a pretty little franken (my first!) that Sarah had made. She calls it Pumpkin Patch and it's a pretty little orange polish packed with glitter. Here's a photo of the bottle:
Isn't it lovely? Since it's a tiny bottle and I want to treasure it forever and ever, I used it sparingly and just layered it over OPI Chop-Sticking To My Story on my ring finger nail. I stamped a pumpkin over it with Wet 'n' Wild Black Creme and added a green rhinestone to the stem. For the rest of my fingers, I used two coats of China Glaze Midtown Magic under one coat of Sally Hansen Pumpkin Spice (<3<3<3).
Now to start working on the Christmas/winter holiday manis! Eeee :)

Fantasy Makers Black Magic
Hey guys! I have another Halloween mani for you today! I got Fantasy Makers Black Magic from one of the sweetest nail bloggers I know, Sarah from Samarium's Swatches. Fantasy Makers nail polishes come in little bottles that have tombstones on top of them (which I didn't think to take a picture of *facepalm*). They aren't nearly as hard to polish with as the Claw Polish caps, though.
Black Magic has a bunch of multi-colored glitter in it that keeps it from being a typical, boring black polish. I used three coats for these photos, then topped it off with Seche Vite. When it was completely dry, I taped off a "mummy" design and used Essie Matte About You for the matte effect. This was influenced by Jane's awesome manis at Nailside and is PERFECT for Halloween.

Sinful Colors Secret Admirer
When I was younger, my mom used to buy these awesome metallic water-slide decals around Halloween and let me wear them over black nail polish. It was literally my favorite part of Halloween. We haven't been able to find them for years now, which is sad because they were so cool; I'm sure they were made by Fantasy Makers and discontinued or something. Stamping is going to have to be the next best thing, I suppose!
I went through all my plates and picked out any that had Halloween-themed images on them and stamped away! The base is two coats of Sinful Colors Secret Admirer, which is an awesome black polish with tons of silvery shimmer that softens the harshness of the black. I used China Glaze Sci Fi for the stamping and I gave my spider a little black rhinestone accent. :)

Claw Polish Phantom
Claw Polish is one of those brands that surfaces around Halloween and sells cute little themed polishes to rope in suckers like me. I found them at my local CVS (which is shocking since my closest CVS sucks!) and decided to pick up Phantom, the only one in the display that really stood out as being different from anything else I owned. At first, it just looks like a normal light-ish gray creme, but when you look closer, you can see all the awesome purple, blue and silver shimmer particles that make Phantom really stand out.
This was two very patient coats. The biggest downfall of Claw Polish is that awful brush handle AKA the most awkward thing to hold and polish with EVER. But if you can get past that, the end result is totally worth it. Behold, super close macro shot!
And then, since this is a Halloween-themed polish, I did some Halloween-themed stamping inspired by Kristin at The Manicured Monkey! I used Wet 'n' Wild Black Creme to stamp the little skull and bones and added some green rhinestone eyes. Unfortunately, his one eye-hole is bigger than the other, so he looks a little lazy-eyed from certain angles. Oh well, makes him creepier, right?
