Zoya Maisie Matte

I don't know how it is that I always forget I have a matte topcoat, but I barely ever use it. It's really unfortunate too because gorgeous stuff like this happens with it! This is two coats of Dr.'s Remedy NOBLE Navy with one coat of Zoya Maisie and Essie Matte About You. The flakies in Maisie look green like this most of the time, but in certain lighting situations, they turn to a gorgeous shade of aqua that was really hard to capture.

Merry Christmas Eve!

I thought you guys might be interested in seeing what I'll actually be wearing on my nails for Christmas, so here it is! I'm planning on wearing a berry-colored sweater dress with leggings, so I decided to be outfit-matching-festive instead of all-out-red-and-green-festive.

I used three coats of Dr.'s Remedy PASSION Purple with Julep Trina sponged onto the tips. I stamped the snowflake with Orly Shine and added a clear rhinestone to the center. I'm very pleased with how it turned out. See you all on Monday! :)

Day 5: Festive French

Like that alliteration? ;) Welcome to Day 5 of my holiday mani celebration! I hope you're all enjoying yourselves so far and not getting too stressed out over the impending holidays!

Today I did a french manicure with some festive holiday colors :) I started out with two coats of my favorite french base, Confetti Pink Paradise. I used hole reinforcers to paint China Glaze Jolly Holly for the tips, but here's where my plan changed: I originally wanted to stamp holly leaves with a light green foil, but it just didn't show up well enough over the light pink base. Instead, I grabbed my silver striper for some tinsel-y accents. I dotted Dr.'s Remedy REVIVE Ruby Red under the silver lines and called it a day. This is one of my favorite manis so far, what do you think?

Day 3: Dr.'s Remedy Jolly & Joy Collection

Hello readers! Today I have my review of the Dr.'s Remedy holiday collection, Jolly & Joy, for you. Fair warning, you should probably get your credit cards out now because you are definitely going to want these!

First we have ESSENTIAL Emerald. Not really the deep jewel-tone that I picture when I think of "emerald," but still very pretty. I'm not a huge fan of green, but this one is okay with me. I used three coats here.

Next up is PASSION Purple, a veryyyy lovely "boysenberry" purple with silver shimmer. I love this one. I used three coats here as well.

REVIVE Ruby Red is incredible!! You know how some bloggers talk about polishes that seem to glow from within? I never really understood what they meant until I put this baby on. REVIVE Ruby Red is the most perfect, shimmery red I've ever seen. Opaque in two coats and absolutely perfect for the holidays.

Now the glitters! I really was not able to do these justice. They are so sparkly and gorgeous in person and I had a really hard time capturing that on camera, but I promise that you will not be disappointed with either should you choose to purchase them. RESOLUTION Red Glitter is definitely more pink than my photo shows (my pinky nail is most accurate); it's like a Bermuda-pink-sand-beach shade of pink and so glittery! I was so amazed when I put these on and found out that they both are totally full-coverage in two coats!

Again with this photo, the pinky nail is the most accurate for color. This is one awesome polish. SERENE Silver Glitter is not your typical silver glitter, it also has purple, blue, and a little bit of green glitter mixed in to make it really, really awesome. I can see these glitters making their way onto my nails for New Years Eve for sure.

Overall, I would give this collection two huge thumbs-up! I'm not bored by a single one of these shades and I truly think that Dr.'s Remedy managed to stay close enough to the "typical" holiday shades, while still creating a totally original and exciting collection. Definitely a win in my book!

Dr.'s Remedy Fall Fever Collection

I hurried to get these swatched for you all as soon as I got them in the mail since we are quickly running out of "fall" days! I can't believe that Thanksgiving is less than a week away! This is the fall collection from Dr.'s Remedy called Fall Fever.

The first color I have for you is NOBLE Navy. I have to say, this is the noblest of all navy cremes. Absolutely perfect application and opaque coverage in two coats. I'm in love.

Next up is BALANCE Brick. Brick is exactly the word I would use to describe this color. It's kind of a dusty red, not very vibrant but still very pretty and fitting for fall. This one was a bit thinner and needed three coats.

And lastly we have DEFENSE Deep Red. Now this is definitely a fall color. Deep, dark, and shiny! I needed three coats for this as well, but I had no application issues and each coat dried quickly. It almost looks more jelly-like than creme.

I cannot even express how excited I am that I get to share these with you guys. I also have the Dr.'s Remedy holiday collection in my hot little hands, so that will be coming up closer to December, but definitely run over to their website and check out their fall shades now while the autumnal mood is still hanging around!

Dr.'s Remedy Enriched Instant Cover

I know, I know. This blog is called "The Nail Network" and this is not a nail-related post/product. However, I know that a lot of you, my awesome readers, are interested in make-up/beauty products just as much as nail polish and I'm sure you'd be interested in this! Here is my review of Dr.'s Remedy Enriched Instant Cover concealing cream:

Incase you were unaware, Dr.'s Remedy provides nail and beauty product alternatives that use natural ingredients instead of the harsh chemicals used in many other brands.  Because of that, their products are great for the health-conscious individual (and the color diversity of their polish makes them a great choice for polish lovers!).

Dr.'s Remedy says that you can use their Enriched Instant Cover (which comes in three different shades: Light, Medium, and Deep) to cover up just about anything, be it tattoos, sun spots, or even birthmarks. I have this really pronounced vein in my foot (spider vein?) that always irks me, so I'm going to attempt to cover it up with the Light shade.

One of the many awesome things about this Enriched Instant Cover is the sponge applicator. It makes it so much easier and less messy to apply and I was so excited about it that I used it before I took a photo, sorry! Another cool thing is that it smells really good! I was really afraid it was going to have one of those nasty, drugstore make-up smells, but it definitely doesn't.

I darkened that first foot photo just a smidge so that you can see what the vein looks like in reality... This next photo is after two/three coats of Enriched Instant Cover. I say "two/three" because I kind of just smudged it on and blended it until it looked right; I didn't wait for each coat to dry like I probably should have.

That looks really good, right? I was skeptical at first of the coverage that Enriched Instant Cover would provide, but it really delivered! I'm sure the three shades that it's offered in won't match up perfectly with very many skin tones, but this isn't an issue; when you're done applying it, just lightly blend some of your normal face powder with it to help it match your skin tone.

This last photo was taken in my room with a flash, but is more realistic than the outdoor photos above. You can tell that from a normal viewing distance, my obnoxious vein is completely gone! I'm glad to say that I am genuinely impressed with this product and I'm happy to give Dr.'s Remedy a big thumbs up!

Dr.'s Remedy Enriched Instant Cover retails at $40 for 3.5oz and can be purchased on their website, HERE.

Also, head on over to FACEBOOK and give their page some love! :)
