Happy Halloween everyone! I'm not really celebrating this year but you know I can't resist a good reason for some nail art and candy! Halloween used to be my favorite time of the year for nail art since it was the only time I was allowed to be bold and wear black nail polish! :P
I started this look off with two coats of Nicole by OPI Fairy Fairy Quite Contrary, a nice bright orange shade. Once the orange base was dry, I used black polish to stamp a spider web near the cuticle of each nail. I let that dry completely and then applied hole reinforcement stickers over each nail to create the half moon shade with black polish. I topped it all off with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top (my fav topcoat).
I hope you like them! Have a spooky day!

Creepy Blood Splatter Nail Art
Hey everybody, I have some slightly creepy and disturbingly easy nail art for you today! I'm sure some of you remember that I did zombie nails for Halloween last year. Well, they were just a teensy bit labor-intensive so I thought I'd figure out something that would be quick and easy, but would still get attention.
This blood splatter isn't actually splatter at all, it's sponging! I found a wirey sponge with lots of spaced out holes and used it to sponge deep red polish over my OPI Skull & Glossbones base. How much easier does it get? Let me know if you try it out!!

KBShimmer Will Yule Marry Me? from the Blogger 2013 Collection Swatches!!
A little birdie told me that some of you might be interested in seeing full swatches of my contribution to the KBShimmer Blogger 2013 Collection before I post the complete collection on Friday, so here it is!
When Christy first contacted me about creating a polish with her, I thought really hard about what I wanted to use as the inspiration for my polish and there was so much that it was overwhelming. I love everything about Christmas and the holiday season, as I'm sure many of you know, but a lot of the things I love most don't translate well into nail polish (I'm looking at you, chocolate caramel bar cookies).
Lucky for me, I had the best Christmas ever last year when my fiancé proposed to me on Christmas Eve! I decided that I would use that as my inspiration and went from there. If you asked me to think of an "evening" shade, the first thing that would come to mind is a rich, silky navy blue so that's what I decided I wanted the base color to be. The diamond in my engagement ring is a round-cut, hence the round glitter in the polish. It also has some crazy amount of facets in it that make it super sparkly, so I asked for a whole bunch of holographic glitter to make the polish very sparkly as well!
I knew for sure that I wanted this shade to be opaque in two coats, yet still allow the glitter to shine through and Christy created exactly what I had envisioned. I'm so ridiculously happy with how this polish turned out and I can't thank Christy from KBShimmer enough for including me in this awesome collection!
I can't wait to swatch the rest of the polishes in this collection (that's what I'll be doing all day tomorrow!) and share them with you all on Friday morning. Make sure to come back and check them out; something tells me you won't want to miss them!!

Halloween Skittle-Style Nail Art
I asked on Facebook what kind of nail art people were interested in seeing and the answers revolved mostly around Halloween, particularly a design that is Halloween-y without being gross or scary. I also got a request for skittle nails, so I meshed everything together and came up with this!
The colors used in this design are Zoya Monica, Arizona, and Tracie, as well as a plain black polish. For the pinky nail, I painted on Monica and then sponged the other colors over it. I watermarbled using all four colors on the ring nail. On the middle nail, I painted Arizona and then used a thin brush to create lines of the other colors in an ascending pattern across the nail. The index nail was painted with Tracie and dotted with all of the other colors. I hope this satisfies those nail art requests! ;)

China Glaze Monster's Ball Halloween 2013 Collection Review/Swatches
Boo! Today I have swatches of China Glaze's Halloween 2013 collection: Monster's Ball. This collection is made up of five spooky shades and a glow-in-the-dark topper. Let's get started!
Fang-Tastic is a mix of magenta, green, and blue glitter in a clear base. I layered one coat over a royal blue polish here.
Boo-Gie Down is a glitter topper that has a mix of orange, black, and white glitters in a variety of shapes and sizes. This is two coats over a burnt orange polish, love this combo!
Howl You Doin' is a darker, more opaque version of OPI's Merry Midnight. A gorgeous purple base packed with tons of pink, purple, and blue glitter. This is two coats.
Ghoulish Glow is a mostly sheer polish that can be layered over any other polish to make it glow in the dark. I didn't swatch this one because it was daytime when I was working on this collection and you guys know how glow-in-the-dark stuff works. ;) Trust me though, this is very glow-y!
Bat My Eyes is a gorgeous mixture of gold glitter in a black base. So opaque and so stunning. This is two coats.
Bump in the Night is a textured black polish. If you've been around this blog for more than two minutes, you probably know how much a fan of texture I am NOT, but I can get behind this one for Halloween. In fact, I might even actually wear it for Halloween! This is one single coat.
The Monster's Ball collection should be available for purchase now wherever China Glaze is sold. Do any of these polishes catch your eye? Have you picked any up yet? More importantly, what are you being for Halloween?! I'll probably just buy some candy and eat it with my fiancé with our porch light turned off! ;P

Ozotic 912 (Scatter) Review/Swatches
Hey everyone! This is sadly the last installment of my nine week piCture pOlish/Ozotic series, but it's a pretty one so don't be sad!
912 (Scatter) is a beautiful metallic purple with a slight duochrome finish and fine silver glitter that sits on top of the polish. This is two easy coats.
The duochrome effect is hard to capture but you can see it in the upper corner of the bottle in this photo.
Ozotic and piCture pOlish are sister companies, so you can order Ozotic shades from the piCture pOlish website or you can find a more local distributor on their network page. You can also keep updated with them on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, and Youtube.

Seche Nail Color Clever and Confident Fall 2013 Collection Swatches
Happy Monday everyone! I bet you're all thrilled to be back at work this week! ;) Today I have swatches of a new collection by Seche. Yes, as in Seche Vite! The brand with one of the best topcoats ever makes nail color too! (Spoiler alert: it's awesome!)
Wonderfully Witty is a bright navy blue creme with a slight jelly finish. This is two coats.
Silly but Sensible is a fabulous burnt orange creme that was perfect in two coats. I'm not typically into orange, but I love burnt orange shades in the fall!
Happy, As Is is a cheerful raspberry pink shade. Also perfect in two coats.
Intuition is a berry/wine shade with gorgeous subtle shimmer. Two coats.
Clever and Confident is the perfect warm shade of purple. This is two coats.
Versatile is a deep faded jade color that was also good in two coats.
Each one of these polishes had a fantastic formula and dry time, not that I'm surprised! The colors aren't anything ground breaking, but they are fabulous fall staples with great formulas, what more could you ask for? These polishes should be available right now wherever Seche is sold!
