étoile Greenwich St. Soirée Collection Swatches/Review

Happy Friday all! I'm home enjoying the break and hopefully getting caught up on all my swatching this weekend! Today I have some beauties from étoile polish to show you. In case you are unfamiliar with the brand, all étoile polishes are infused with diamond dust! How fancy! These two shades make up their newest collection, called Greenwich St. Soirée.

Pink Panache is a bold bright pink! It has my very favorite type of shimmer too it and perhaps this is why I'm so in love with étoile's polishes. This was two easy breezy coats. No formula issues at all.

Fizzy Cucumber is the perfect mint green shimmer. It's so fresh and springy! This was has the signature étoile shimmer and was also perfect in two coats.

This set retails for $26; the polishes alone are $18. They are certainly on the higher end of the price scale, but I wouldn't hesitate to purchase them! étoile is definitely one of my new favorite brands! You can check out these and other shades on their website: www.etoilepolish.com. What are your thoughts?

Black Cat Lacquer Spring 2013 Collection Swatches/Review

Hey everyone! Sorry for the late post... I've got a lot of stuff on my plate at the moment and I'm starting to feel very overwhelmed, so posts might be sporadic for a little while. I hate to do that but it seems very necessary at this point! I have some awesome Black Cat Lacquer polishes to show you guys today though, get ready!

Lucky Star is a gorgeous and girly mix of lavender, pink, yellow, and pale blue glitter with some shimmer and stars! This is two coats over Essie Under Where.

Dark Side of the Moon is a really awesome shade and my favorite of the collection. It's made up of a milky off-white base with gold and black glitter of different sizes and shapes, as well as large round glitter (be still my heart!!!), stars, and diamonds. This is three coats by itself.

Cacao is the only one of the bunch that I had issues with. This is three coats of it alone and I had a really hard time keeping it from getting globby. This one would probably do best as one coat layered over a base shade of brown.

She's In Parties actually might be tied as my favorite. This is one cheerful polish! It has a milky white base with a rainbow of glitter mixed in. This is three coats alone.

Sweet Dreams is a pastel sage green jelly with shards of pink, green, and purple glitter mixed throughout. This is three coats by itself.

These shades are available to purchase from Black Cat Lacquer's store. Make sure you also follow BCL on Facebook to keep up with new shades and info! What's your favorite shade out of the five? I'm so in love with Dark Side of the Moon and She's In Parties!

Sephora Disney Jasmine 'A Whole New World' Perfume, Rollerball & Body Shimmer Review/Photos

Good morning everyone! Today I have the perfumes from the Sephora Disney Jasmine collection that Sephora sent me to review for you. I'm really, REALLY excited about these Disney Princess collections and I can't wait to share the rest of this one with all of you!

The scent for the Jasmine collection is called A Whole New World and according to Sephora, it has notes of carnation, orange blossom, mandarin, gardenia, mimosa, musky accord, cedarwood, sandalwood, vanilla, amber, and benzoin. This perfume is not for the timid! It is bold, but girly at the same time and definitely smells exotic. I found that it smells slightly differently on me than it does when I sprayed it on a paper strip to test it and I like it much better when I'm wearing it.

A Whole New World comes in the form of the eau de parfum spray ($58) (above) and a perfumed oil rollerball ($19) (below). The packaging on these products is absolutely gorgeous and fits perfectly with the theme of Aladdin.

Isn't the little genie lamp on top of the rollerball the perfect touch? I love the attention to detail in all of these products.

The body shimmer spray ($45) is also perfumed with A Whole New World and is just the coolest product ever! I may just be easily amused, but I feel like such a princess poofing this on myself.

The shimmer is subtle and really pretty. It's perfect for when you want a little extra sparkle for a night out!

This is just the beginning of the Jasmine products that I have to review for you guys! But I want to know, are you a fragrance fanatic? Do you like to switch it up or do you have one tried and true scent? Are any of you planning on picking up any of these A Whole New World scented products?

MASH Stamping Plate & Matte Polish Review

Happy Friday everyone! I have a review of some products that were sent to me by MASH for you guys today. I got a set of their stamping plates and some matte polish. You can find the stamping plates at this link and the matte polish here.

The first stamping mani I did was with China Glaze Harvest Moon over Zoya Jacqueline. I'm not the best at centering the full nail stamps, but the designs did stamp pretty well regardless. I also like shimmer of Harvest Moon for the stamp instead of a solid, plain color.

This second mani turned out okay, but not great. I had a bit of a problem with this image bleeding out at the edges, even though I tried not to press too hard when I stamped it. This is China Glaze 2NITE stamped over Milani Rapid Orchid.

Last but not least, this is one coat of the MASH Matte Polish over Black Cat Lacquer She's In Parties. This isn't the most mattifying top coat out there, but it does work very well! I love it over glitter like this!

Do any of you guys own these plates or the matte top coat? I am such a big fan of stamping; it's such a great way to create really complex looking nail art in a short amount of time. Are you going to pick either of these products up?

New Milani High Speed Fast Dry Shades for 2013 Swatches/Review

Good morning! I have a bunch of Milani stuff in line to review for you guys (sent to me by their PR) and today I have six new nail polish shades from their High Speed Fast Dry line.

Instant Pearl is the first shade and it is a white polish with a (you guessed it!) pearl finish. This is two coats and it actually wasn't as brushstroke-y as I expected it to be.

Pink Express is a lovely, sweet pastel pink shade. Perfect coverage in two coats.

Move On Mauve is a shimmery slightly-jelly shade of medium pink. This was three coats.

Rapid Orchid is supposed to be a deep purple, but I think it's really difficult to see anything other than black in this one. I did two coats here.

Quick Teal was a hard one to photograph. I think I got pretty close with the shade, but it's much more vibrant than this in person. This is two coats.

Last but not least is Flaming Race, a super bright red than leans ever so slightly coral. This is two coats.

I'm a big fan of the High Speed Fast Dry line and these shades are a good addition to the line. The formulas were pretty good overall. They tend to be a bit thick but I find that they are easy to work with and I love how quickly they dry! These shades retail for $4.99 and can be purchased from Milani's website or drugstores like CVS.

New Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Shades for Spring 2013 Swatches/Review

Good morning and happy Monday! I have some pretty blues that Sally Hansen sent me to share with you guys today. These are new releases from SH for Spring 2013 and are part of the Complete Salon Manicure line. This first one, a light aqua blue called Barracuda, is a re-release from a limited edition collection. I needed three coats here and the formula was temperamental but I absolutely adore the color!

Watercolor is a great medium sky blue. The formula was great on this one and I needed two coats.

Please Sea Me is a medium-toned teal shade that needed three coats for opacity.

Jungle Gem is a deep shade of teal. This one was perfectly opaque in one coat, but of course I did two out of habit. ;)

These shades should be available in drug stores now and retail for $7.99 each. The Complete Salon Manicure polishes have very wide, mop-like brushes that take some getting used to. I find that I make a total mess for the first few nails, but eventually I get used to using it and am able to just about paint my whole nail with one swipe and minimal mess. Do you have any of these shades? What do you think about Sally Hansen?

A "Lovely" Water Marble featuring Zoya!

Happy Friday everyone! I've got a busy weekend ahead of me so I thought I'd post something fun today. I have a ton of swatches lined up for next week and even more reviews still to do, so there will be a lot going on here! I used Zoya Blu, Jacqueline, Neely, and Julie for this fresh, springtime water marble. I love how subtle it is compared to other water marbles that I've done!

Fandom Series: Harry Potter 'Battle of Hogwarts' Nail Art

Hey guys! So I have three designs that I dubbed part of a "Fandom Series" that have been hanging out in my draft folder for quite a while because I wasn't too sure about them. I went back through and checked them out again and decided that I'm ready to share! This series is going to be open ended (like my WDW and Disney Princess ones). This first mani is inspired by my all-time favorite book and movie series, Harry Potter (and by Emerald Sparkled's design).

I started out with two coats of black polish and sponged white over where I wanted the colors to go. Then I sponged and painted some red, green, and light yellow acrylic paint over the white to get the look of the colors colliding. If you haven't seen the last HP movie, this design is in reference to the scene of the final battle between Harry and Voldemort.

I'm really excited to bring you the rest of the designs that I have drafted! I hope you all enjoy geekiness as much as I do! ;)

Serum No. 5 Swatches/Review

Good morning! Today I have a whole bunch of Serum No. 5 swatches for your viewing pleasure. You can view and purchase these polishes on Etsy.

Happy Special Day is a glitter top coat consisting of mostly white glitter with multi colored shapes mixed in. One coat over OPI Suzi's Hungary Again.

Girl's BFF is a shimmery silver top coat with holographic glitters. This is two coats over OPI My Vampire is Buff.

Fallen is a gorgeous shimmery red with red and gold glitter. Two coats over Nicole by OPI Please Red-cycle.

Pretty Blue is a mix of blue and purple glitter suspended in a shimmery base. Two coats over Nicole by OPI Plum to Your Senses.

Thanks for the Memories is a predominately black and white glitter with some holographic glitter thrown in for good measure. This is two coats over China Glaze Life is Rosy and unfortunately, the glitter was a little hard to get out of the bottle on this one.

Call It a 'Treuse is a really unique shade of green shimmer with purple glitter. I layered two coats over China Glaze Budding Romance and it actually made me like Budding Romance!

Stormy Weather is silvery glitter base with silver bar glitter and purple and blue glitter mixed in. This is one coat over China Glaze Fancy Pants.

Rise and Grind has a coppery tinted base with tiny copper shimmer and hex glitter and smaller white hex glitter. This is one coat over OPI You're Such a Buda-pest.

Starry Nights has a blue tinted base with silver, gold, and blue glitter and silver star glitter. Unfortunately, the star glitter was super hard to get out of the bottle and I couldn't fish any out. This is two coats over China Glaze Sunday Funday.

Forest Lights has a soft green shimmer base with green and white glitter. This is two coats over OPI Can't Find My Czechbook.

Do you spy any must-haves here? Serum No. 5 has a great variety of shades!

Sephora by OPI Cinderella 'A Brush With Fate' Mini Set Swatches/Review

Good morning everyone! As a follow up to last night's nail art, I have swatches of the Cinderella mini nail polish set from Sephora by OPI. This set was released last October with the rest of the Cinderella products and is a fabulous collection piece!

So Totally Enchanted is a beautiful, shimmery opalescent polish. The formula on this one was a little temperamental, but a steady hand and three coats produced a gorgeous mani.

Step Off, Sister! is a glitter top coat consisting of purple and blue micro glitter. This is two coats over So Totally Enchanted.

I Blue My Curfew is a stunning royal blue shimmer. I used three coats to get the deepest color possible.

Bibbidi, Bobbidi, Pink! is a glitter top coat with two different sizes and shades of pink glitter. This is two coats over I Blue My Curfew.

Self-Maid Millionaire is a gold foil that needed three coats for opacity. I love foil finishes so much!

Rags to Rhinestones is a gold glitter top coat. I layered two coats over Self-Maid Millionaire and I am loving this combination! It's so glittery that it seems to glow!

As I said earlier, these polishes were released in October of last year (2012) and are pretty hard to get a hold of now. I've seen a few sets on eBay, but I'm pretty sure they are completely sold out online and in stores. I'm lucky enough to have an amazing momma who bought these for me for Xmas! Did you pick up any of the Cinderella products last year?

Sephora Disney Cinderella Compact Mirror Review & Nail Art!

Good evening everyone! If you've been following me on any of my social media accounts, you probably know that I've been going crazy trying to find this mirror and I finally did! The mirror and its packaging are so beautiful that I knew I had to do some nail art inspired by it!

The mirror is gorgeous! It's hard to tell from the photos, but the center piece is actually covered in beveled plastic that mimics the facts of a gem.

When you open up the compact, you'll see the quote "time for you moment" is etched onto the top mirror. One mirror in here is a normal mirror and the other is magnified.

This is the nail art that this gorgeous compact inspired me to do! I worked off of the designs on the packaging to create this look. I started out with three coats of Sally Hansen Barracuda as my base and then stamped a floral pattern from Gals plate GA33 with SH Please Sea Me over that.

Next, I stamped a scroll pattern from Gals plate GA44 with Zoya Ziv on the bottom edges of my nails. I finished the look off with a flower image from MASH plate m21 in SH Jungle Gem and a dot of Ziv.

I'm so in love with this compact and these nails! I can't wait to collect all the other mirrors from Sephora! Are any of you guys going crazy over the Sephora Disney Princess collections?
