Gals "Princess" & "Fairy" Stamping Plate Set Review

Good afternoon everyone! I have a review for you today of some new stamping plates by Gals, the sister brand to Cheeky. I chose to use one of the Christmassy images from the plates since it's so close to the holiday and all! ;P

For this design, I used Zoya Kennedy as my base and stamped with Zoya Carly. This image is on plate GA27. The plates stamp really well, although you can see a bit of smudging on my middle and pinky nails. I think that was more of a user error than a plate error though. I love the range of designs on these plates too; they have SO many images, ranging from winter-themed to summer-themed and tons of pretty full nail designs too.

The Gals sets can be purchased of off Amazon. You can see the Fairy set here and retails for $14.99. The Princess set can be seen here and retails for $10.99.

Products provided for review.

  7. Love this one - really great choice for the colors you used. The purple shimmering Zoya shows up just fab on top of the creamy nude. I am going with a nude nail today and putting 'snow' something Mylar iridescent over it - I have to invade my toppers and find the one I am thinking that usually is over-kill but is perfect for creating snow looks.

  8. Your stamped designs always turn out so well. My polish stamps cleanly and clearly but it's so faint and unless you are up close, you can't really see the detail. What is your secret??? I've tried several polishes even striping polishes which look good ,but they seem to be faded/faint and I want a richer image like you have similar to a handpainted image. I only have Konad plates for now, but if I can get this stamping thing down I want to order more from Cheeky, BM, and more since they have images Konad doesn't offer.

  9. I'm not happy with these sets. (I have both) For me, the curved end essentially makes the full nail designs much shorter than even the standard Konad length. I feel like I just bought 2 whole sets of french tip ends. I love the curved ends on Cheeky's new set and on their larger full nail image plates. Thes just won't get much use from me since I always keep my nails a bit longer than the tips of my fingers.

  11. Still haven't decided if I need these yet. Am wondering why the difference in price between the sets?

  12. Purple glitter Zoya over the cream nude is just fab shows. Go over the rainbow hues of nude nails today 'eyes' something Mylar hung - I attack my toppings and usually over-the-people think is perfect for making killed, but looking eyes and to look.

  13. I have the same problem as Cin O and becoming increasingly frustrated! My images look faded on the stamp when transferring from the plate. What am I doing wrong? I'm wasting a lot of polish. Please help.
