These are probably my favorite Christmas/holiday nails that I've ever done. They turned out so much better than I could have hoped and I'm so glad I tried them out. I might even do these as my actual Christmas Day nails!
I started out with two coats of China Glaze Merry Berry from their Holiday Joy 2012 collection. Then I went through all of my stamping plates and found a lace-y looking design and several holiday-themed images and started stamping! The holly and large snowflake are on Bundle Monster plate BM14 from the old collection. The moose is on BM-214 from the new Bundle Monster collection. The tiny snowflake is from MASH plate m50 and the lace pattern is on MASH plate m57. This is a really easy, but complicated-looking design as long as you can stamp decently. Would you try it?
This mani looks awesome, love it!

ReplyDeleteVery pretty ! I love it!
ReplyDeleteI really like this, so pretty~
ReplyDeleteWOW!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThe white is really crisp for your stamps. Which polish did you use to stamp with?
ReplyDeleteIt's the Konad white stamping polish.
DeleteI love this! I tried stamping but I have trouble with the white being too sheer to leave a good image, I mean it's good when you are up really close and personal but when you back up a little you can't really see the design like you can a handpainted one. It is simply too faint. I'm still new to stamping maybe there is a trick or secret I don't know yet? Ideas? The images come out crisp and clean but is it because I used a white polish over a dark base? Mine was white snowflakes on a blue base. I really love your design and I want to do it next!
ReplyDeleteYou need a really opaque white polish (I used the special Konad stamping polish) but anything that is close to opaque in one coat will do! Milani makes a fast dry white that might also work.
DeleteI know I certainly would not be able to pull this off so flawlessly, but I certainly do love it!
ReplyDeleteAwesome! So creative! I would never come up with the idea of combining so many stamp designs)
ReplyDeleteDid you recreate it from this? Just wondering because yours is pretty similar to hers, and i'd hate for her not to get credit.

No, I didn't. I haven't ever seen that mani.
DeleteIf you do a google search for Christmas sweaters, this is the general pattern that comes up. It's fairly common and this is just Chelsea's take on it :)
DeleteThank you Lindsey! Those who follow here and know me well know that I am very active against stealing and would always give credit where it was properly due. It angers me that someone would come here anonymously and insinuate otherwise.
DeleteChelsea, don't bother bout this anonymous comment. I think Your mani is much better than this one from the link!
DeleteI love Your ideas and blog.
hehe, OH NO!!!!!! Everytime you use an image on a stamp, you should go back to where that stamp was originally used...because you know, You're copying them. THEY used it first!!! ;) Good job! I want to try this over a red/green stripey design. (no one better STEAL that idea.) ;)
DeleteI love this even though it's stamped! I'm just going to have to paint mine by hand...
ReplyDeleteI saw this on my Bloglovin feed and couldn't WAIT to see the whole post! This is just lovely! I love the simplicity of the colors and the stamping is just amazing!

ReplyDeleteWords cannot adequately express my love for this manicure.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love this. I'm going to try to create it myself even though I find it difficult to stamp in straight lines so the lace edges may prove rather challenging! I think you should definitely wear this on Christmas Day :-)
