Jenna's Prom Nails!

Good morning everyone! I haven't done anything interesting with my nails lately, so I thought I'd post the nails I did for my sister's senior prom over the week. Jenna sent me this photo from @noemihk on Instagram and asked if I could recreate it to match her dress and I said "of course!"

We started out with one coat of Zoya Trixie to get a pretty solid silver base down and then I used three coats of OPI Which is Witch for more bling.

Once that was completely dry, I slowly and carefully painted the white sections using Milani White on the Spot with the brush from the polish. I used Zoya Ibiza for the navy blue and used a striping brush to paint those sections. That was the painstaking part!

And here is the beautiful little lady all dressed up! It seriously shouldn't be legal to be this good looking...

I absolutely loved her hair. She has the longest, thickest hair I've ever seen and it looked amazing.

And here's a shot of the front of her dress. She picked a good one!

Are you going to prom this year? Or, if you're not quite so young, did you go to your senior prom? What do you remember most? My prom was rather boring, unfortunately!

  1. Aw, she looks stunning! Prom seems so far away for me ( my Senior prom was JUST about 10 years ago o_0 )and I decided to skip mine and go to hubby's prom since we went to different schools which I now look back on and wish I would have went to mine too. You recreated that mani beautifully, I have seen the original making it's rounds and it's gorgeous!

  2. She looks just like you, so pretty! I never went to prom, and I stayed home to play video games with my friends instead :P I don't regret it though, I was never much of a party or social person in the first place.

I love how your recreated that mani. Both that and your sister's dress is gorgeous.

  8. My senior prom was a little less than 2 years ago, and it went pretty well, considering I wasn't fond of school life much, and I'm really so glad high school is over - it's just way more fun in university, and that's where I feel like I matter and I belong somewhere! Your sis is a beauty, and I'm in love with her nails! I went to my senior prom with nekkid nails - my obsession with nail polish started half a year later)

  9. These nails are gorgeous! Your sister looks lovely too :). I went to my prom a few years ago but it was pretty rubbish, but it's not such a big thing in the UK.

  14. Aww.. so beautiful!. Love those nails and matching dress. Wish I could do nail art like that but I definitely don't have the patience. I'll be going to my prom next Saturday and have decided to go for nail polish strips. Have you ever tried them? They were difficult at first but with a little practice, I think I got the hang of it. I plan to wear Incoco's Behind the Scenes shade as my prom nails, which I think will go very well with my black and gold lacy dress. However, I'm also considering Incoco's Ritz. I'd love to get your opinion on which one will look better with a gold and black dress. Please help? Here's their prom nail collection so you can see what I mean: http://www.incoco.com/product.aspx?productid=312&categoryid=136
