Nails for Boston!

Hey guys! Long time no nails, right? To be perfectly honest, my nails have barely been polished the past few weeks *holds back tears* but I finally have a mani to share! I ran my first 5k this weekend, so I thought it would be appropriate to do blue and yellow nails in honor of the victims of the Boston Marathon bombings.

I used Zoya Solange and Liberty (two of the new summer PixieDusts) for this mani. I layered one very thin coat of each over Zoya Darcy and Orly Sweet Peacock and then topped it all off with two coats of top coat for a smooth, glossy finish. I love the PixieDusts with top coat; they are so glittery and pretty! I'll be reviewing them all for you guys eventually (hopefully soon!).

The Zoya products in this post were provided for review.

P.S.
I started a blog as a way to keep track of my running and write about the races that I do, so if you're into that kind of thing, check out it here: www.runlikea-princess.com ;-*

  7. No, seriously, people? Do you REALLY think you do this in honor of Boston bombings? Do you REALLY think that doing your nails can in any way help those who suffered from the attacks? Do you believe that posting a manicure is the best way to draw people's attention to this? Hell no.
Write a memory post, give some money to charity, whatever, just don't offend the victims' memory! And it's terrible that almost all commentors praised the design without saying a single word of sympathy for the victims. Shame on you.

    1. No, I don't think that doing my nails can in any way help those involved in the attacks. However, I don't believe praying helps anyone either. Does that mean I run around blasting everyone who says they are "praying for Boston"? NO! It does not. Because that would be rude and inappropriate. How do you know that I haven't donated money to charity for the attacks? Hell, how do you even know that I don't know someone who was there or affected? You don't! So please don't come here on page and blast me with your assumptions. Perhaps you could have emailed me a link to a charity of your choosing and asked me to link it within my post, but instead you took the negative route.
